How to emulate a Texas Instruments Calculator on your Android Device
I've been playing around with my Android phone recently and I found out that you can run the TI-83+ calculator as an app, completely FREE! These specialized calculators are required for most college level math and they cost an arm and a leg. In my area the used ones can still cost over $100. With this method you can run whichever calculator you prefer for free. All you will need is your android device and whatever means you choose to transfer files to it.
1. First you will need to install the app "Andie Graph" which is available from the Google Play Store or alternately you can download the .apk from this link and install manually.

2. Next you will need to acquire the rom for the calculator of your choice. The "rom" is the file that tells Andie Graph which calculator to emulate and how it works. Roms for the TI-82, TI-83, TI-83+, TI-85, and TI-86 available for download here:

3. Next you will need to transfer the needed roms into a folder on the root of your phone's SD card. This can be accomplished by a variety of methods. The simplest method would be to connect the phone to your PC using a usb cable. Although I found it more convenient to transfer the files using my dropbox account. If you follow the link below to sign up for Dropbox I will get bonus space added to my account for the referral. Thank you! Otherwise, you can always goto dropbox.com.

4. Fire up Andie Graph and it should load your roms automatically. From there you can use the settings menu to switch between calculator roms. You just saved yourself a bundle!
